Stenden University of Applied Science considers the concept of ‘transparency in supervision and management’ to be extremely important. The management of the Stenden University of Applied Science Foundation has accordingly been structured in conformity with the points of departure of the Branch Code Governance for Higher Education.
The Branch Code Governance HE was agreed on in the General Meeting of the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences in February 2006. This way, educational institutions have laid down ‘new rules’ for management, control, supervision and accountability. The Executive Board of the Stenden University of Applied Science Foundation complies with the Code.
Details of the Code can, for instance, be found in the Annual Report, for instance, the manner in which risk management is structured; the profile of the Supervisory Board, and also the application of the points of departure for the Advisory Boards, the role of participation and communication with external stakeholders.
