UAS 2018 Keuzegids: Stenden has five Top-grade degree programme

The results of the UAS 2018 Keuzegids (Ranking guide)are published today, Tuesday 26 September. A provisional analysis of the results from this Keuzegids are given below.
Quality mark for excellent programmes
This year no less than five programmes within Stenden have been awarded the quality mark Top-grade degree programme. The Human Resource Management programme has been awarded this title for the last three years, a fantastic result (score of 80) to be very proud of. The Finance and Control programme may now also carry this title and refer to itself as the best programme in the country with the first place in the ranking (80), a considerable increase in comparison to last year (56). The Chemistry programme (82) is number two in this ranking and shows a structural increase during the last three years and especially during the past year. Almost all Education in Primary Schools Programmes (OB) show an increase, of which the Education in Primary Schools Programmes (OB) in Emmen (90) and Assen (78) have been crowned this year as Top-grade degree programmes. The Education in Primary Schools Programme in Emmen was even assessed with a 9.0.
Findings of the UAS 2018 Keuzegids:
Stenden scored one place higher in comparison to last year and is now in seventh place in the national ranking of medium to large sized universities of applied sciences. Almost all programmes within Stenden show an increase in comparison to the results of last year. The largest increase is at the School of Commerce. The International Business & Languages (IBL,72) programme has achieved first place in the national ranking, just as Small Business & Retail Management (SBRM, 72). Marketing (68) also shows a substantial increase in comparison to last year. The School of Leisure & Tourism, the School of Social Work & Art Therapies and the School of Hospitality all show an increase for all programmes within the School. There is a slight decrease in the Logistics and Economy, Computer Science programmes and the international Education in Primary Schools Programme (ITEPS) in Meppel. On average all Schools have increased in the UAS 2018 Keuzegids.
