IBMS excursion to Edinburgh

Thursday 15 December 2016

Last week a group of International Business Management Studies (IBMS) students seized the opportunity to represent Stenden University at a business conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. The business conference enabled students to network and gain knowledge from established entrepreneurs. The conference focused on employability skills. These are vital skills for students to have, especially for those who are about to graduate or start an internship.

Students got the opportunity to learn how to create a CV, application letters, get career advice and understand the importance of cultural communications.

During the week, students were assigned to come up with creative ideas for products or services that could be introduced in Edinburgh. At the end of the week, students presented their business plans to entrepreneurs. Stenden would like to congratulate the winning team which consisted of one IBMS student!
