Scholarships for international students
If you are thinking about applying to Stenden University of Applied Sciences and are currently exploring financial aid opportunities, you may be eligible for the Holland Scholarship. We are a proud partner in the Holland Scholarship programme, which provides financial assistance to international undergraduate students from outside the EU/EEA.
More about the Holland Scholarship
The Holland Scholarship exclusively applies to the Stenden campuses in the Netherlands. Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and various Dutch higher education institutions (including Stenden), the €5000,- scholarship is awarded to a select number of first-year students from non-EU/EEA countries.
Please bear in mind the Holland Scholarship only partially covers the cost of the first year of study. It is important that you have a full understanding of tuition fees and the costs of living involved in studying in the Netherlands.
Do you qualify?
To qualify as a candidate for the Holland Scholarship you must:
• be a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country;
• not have previously attended a Dutch institute of higher education;
• have received a conditional or unconditional offer from Stenden for a bachelor’s programme of your
• have a high level of English-language proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or higher).
Students from China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, India, Thailand, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and South Africa are particularly encouraged to apply for the Holland Scholarship.

The application window for the academic year 2018/2019 will open around the 1st of October 2017. Stenden will publish specific Holland Scholarship application requirements then. Please note that there are no Holland Scholarships available for the intake in February 2018.
Be advised that only a limited number of scholarships are available. After the deadline, candidates for the scholarships will be selected.
If you do not meet the above qualifications, your application will not be considered.
How does Stenden select candidates?
All applicants will be evaluated individually by a committee at Stenden University. They will be informed of the outcome personally no later than six weeks after the application deadline.
